Tyki pretended he hadn't heard that. Instead, he concentrated on his food, thinking it tasted rather better than the fish he had been intending to try at some point that day. He wasn't much cop at cooking, so he tended to make do. When he'd been younger, that had entailed buying or stealing food, but lately he'd been lucky enough to be waited on, because of a fluke of birth and some serious good luck.

The cooks back at the Kamelot Estate were certainly good, but this was something else. Shame he was a Lucian.
