Apache, not for the first time, wished that Nel was here.
Apache had never really gotten along with her family. Her mother, while not as severe in her views of others as Bellatrix, was definitely of that general ... type. She'd been sent off to a boarding school when she was of age, the age being seven, so she hadn't had much contact with her family, except on holidays, where she spent the majority of her time in the grounds of the house, away from them unless her presence was expected. They weren't nice people.
Nel, while not exactly being a mother-figure, had certainly been more caring than her family had ever been. Even so, she'd never discussed any of her background with her. Until recently, they'd all been unaware that Apache's home country tagged their Mistants.
Nel would have been the better candidate to have this discussion with, but Yylfordt would have to do.
"Come on," she urged, starting back in the direction of the kitchen.
