There could be a number of reasons why they might not, of course. Perhaps one of them snored, perhaps one of them had cold feet, or preferred to read late at night while the other preferred to sleep, or just possibly two tall adult men sharing a bed, however large, made for disturbed sleep for both of them. They were certainly reasons Ignis would give for kicking Gladio out of the bed given the opportunity, the fact they weren't in a relationship notwithstanding.
