Marluxia listened to Zexion chatter to himself. He'd thought the same things, but Zexion's perspective as someone who was more studied in these matters was useful. Zexion did not appear to have known about Axel in advance; his surprise in the meeting had made that clear, or at least, Marluxia had to remember he was dealing with one titled the cloaked schemer here, it had appeared that way.
"A pity we have no way of knowing how long Axel has been on this world," Marluxia said. That might answer the question. "Or how long he has been with the Order," Marluxia paused before he added, "presuming he is, of course, and is not simply with Saix."
That was a distinct possibility; they were both tricky enough. "Unfortunately, if Axel came through after the fact, then it is possible he is not the only one who may have done so," Marluxia frowned, "or who may do so."
Would Xemnas, if he could? And what of the keyblade bearers?
