"I'm sorry," he muttered, endeavouring to sound grumpy even while giving a sincere apology, "for the way I treated you, and Roxas, back then. I'd forgotten too much of who I used to be," he grunted, "and now when I try to remind myself, it goes badly."
If they weren't about to, in all likelihood, die, then Saix wouldn't have said anything, but Axel, or Lea, was at least owed this much.
He straightened, though it was barely perceptible, and swiftly changed the subject. "If we're about to die, I would prefer to do so in something other than a dress."
