"I'd appreciate it," Kadaj replied. Given the options available, Kadaj would rather have someone who knew where they were heading with him. Rabanastre was a popular town for the clans, and he'd rather not take a wrong turn and run into someone who recognised him because he was too busy looking for a mechanic to spot the sense of a familiar chakra in time. Besides, it'd be faster if he was led there directly, which meant he'd be able to find somewhere to stay sooner, too.
The possibility of attracting unfavourable attention from a criminal contingent somewhere was lower down Kadaj's list of concerns, but two Selkies walking a giant piece of machina through the city were less likely to be troubled by that, too, of course.
