Grimmjow abandoned his attempt at a Cero and crossed his arms at the wrists in front of himself, concentrating his Chakra enough to throw up Steelguard. He could have moved, but the Berserker would have expected that.
Sentinel wasn't his favourite of the Classes at his disposal, but it was useful and allowed him to weather that shot with minimal damage. His feet slid in the sand as the blast hit against his twice-augmented defences but he recovered quickly, dropping it in an instant to counter with a slice from his own blade.
