Ienzo glanced up at Marluxia as he spoke, but stepped forward all the same. Vexen didn't seem threatening. He seemed, as Ienzo thought he might, scared by their presence but trying very hard to make it look like he wasn't. He wasn't sure whether to take it as an encouraging sign or not. Vexen was smart enough to know what was going on.
He steeled himself, determined to look more confident than he felt. He hoped that he looked more awake than he felt, as well.
He didn't miss the chill in the room. The rest of the library wasn't what he would consider warm, but Vexen's chamber bore a definite difference in temperature, different enough to make his breath visible in the air. He resisted shivering. Not even the beeswax candles burning in holders and sconces did anything to raise the temperature.
"Vexen," he said, as a greeting. "I expect you know why we're here."
