They'd argued and had disagreements, both before and after everything had gone to hell with the Darkness and the Heartless, but that was nothing compared to the enmity that Marluxia and Vexen held between them.
"We want you with us," he said. "If you join voluntarily, you'll have freedom and the ability to request protection if you want to go on any research or scientific excursions. If you don't... they'll imprison you and have you watched if you travel by sending an escort to accompany you. I wasn't given the option. You are being given it now. If you agree, it's safer for you. It isn't safe, but it is safer than travelling alone with worse members of Khamja, or the Order, coming after you."
He sighed, glancing at the flickering candle on the desk.
