Even listened to Marluxia's assessment of Szayel and couldn't find it in himself to disagree with any of it. He was faux-pleasant and genuinely curious, something that Even considered a dangerous combination if you believed the former. He seemed to try and use this to weedle information out of people about themselves or others. Due to this, Even had been deliberately cagey on certain details, mostly those concerning his own scientific speciality.

Just because Kuja was allied with Marluxia and Lumi did not mean that he offered the same alliance to Ienzo or himself. Khamja was made up of a lot of disparate and overlapping groups, it seemed.
