Grimmjow laughed a psychotic laugh that edged towards the victorious and brought his sword up in front of him to block Saix's attack. Anybody else might have been shocked at the power behind the strike, but Grimmjow had faced this particular for on more than one occasion and, on this occasion, he hadn't been the one to make the first move.
He threw his weight behind a counter attack designed to force Saix back and, with any luck, off balance. If it didn't work ... well, it wasn't a problem. He just wanted enough time to flip his sword out of the reverse hold for the next strike.
