Marluxia had located some of the materials Vexen wanted retrieved. What he could make fit his pocket, he had, but Vexen wanted some books as well, and those didn't fit away as easily.

There was an answering creak from downstairs as one of the doors shifted on its hinges. Lumi was refreshingly uncurious a lot of the time, and he'd been particularly so when it came to Vexen's old house. He wouldn't be opening doors slowly enough for them to creak, and certainly not for no reason.
