The muzzle of Xigbar's gun caught Lumi's attention. He narrowed his eyes, his own weapon trained on the area just above where he it had protruded from. If Xigbar made himself seen now, it would be a headshot, had he judged his height correctly and, if not, a neck wound.
He listened to the tense conversation, the baiting. What Marluxia said stuck out and Lumi looked sharply in the direction of his voice, trying to process that information quickly. It was a warning, he knew that, but it didn't make much sense to him. How could anybody shoot around corners?
He felt Marluxia's chakra flare, not knowing if it was a distraction, a target or a risk taken to drive Xigbar back into the dining room. Either way, he wouldn't be expecting an attack from him while Marluxia charged a spell.
Lumi took a step back towards the door, abandoning the notion of an exit via the window.
