He didn't want to stay in the doorway. Fire or not, Xigbar would have noticed his movement in this direction. He grabbed Lumi's left wrist, not thinking for a moment about the possible risks of physically manhandling an injured Lumi in the seconds after the injury, and pulled him deeper into the room.
"He struggles with moving targets," he hissed, gathering his chakra to wrench open a Garganta in front of the window. It wasn't as easy, and didn't feel as natural as opening portals had been when he was a Nobody, but it was the same principle.
