Xigbar made a noise, it was an uncertain, grudging noise. "Setting Marigold on Saix I'll give you," he said. Zexion's seething hatred for Saix, burning deep in that shiny little heart and boy had Xigbar forgotten how dark that kid could go when crossed, wasn't exactly a secret. His insult at Saix's betrayal had been enough to send him packing.
He probably hadn't meant to get embroiled in Khamja's nonsense, but it had happened anyway.
"But much as he and Vexen disagreed about your continued existence," he said, giving Saix a pointed look before he turned back to Axel, "I don't think he'd set Marluxia on him. Little Lord Zexy was always big on the cohesive group idea, and Vexen basically raised him." Not that having basically raised Ienzo had gone well for Ansem, but that was besides the point. "It's not like Marluxia and Vexen were best buds underneath a play of antagonism," he added, giving Axel and Saix a slow, deliberate grin before he settled on Axel again. His tone turned dark, "You got orders to eliminate the traitors from two people, remember?"
He took a mouthful of his drink before he admitted to what he was thinking. "I think they knew Vexen wasn't going to be there," he said. "He was poking about Vexen's study. Whatever he might have told Zexion, I don't think he's interested in you," he said, giving Saix a pointed look.
