Nnoitra, true to his word, hung back. He followed Kadaj's reiatsu as he moved through the palace. He did this by pressing his hand to the floor and using that as a conduit through which to feel his chakra. A unique method, but nevertheless useful. It was accurate, silent, lacked a reiatsu signature of his own and left him alert. Moreso than that, it prevented him crashing that particular party prematurely.
He tracked Kadaj to the training area. He gave it a moment or two and then made his way down there, neither weapon nor mask fragment yet manifested.
He stood in the doorway when he reached the 'room'. It wasn't long before his neutral expression gave way to a smirk.
